Write Postcards to Virginia Voters

Help reach more than 350,000 Black voters and other voters of color by writing nonpartisan postcards for Virginia’s November 3, 2026 general election.

In addition to federal and local races, Virginia voters will decide three proposed constitutional amendments concerning:

• an affirmative constitutional right to vote and restoration of voting rights after release from incarceration following a felony conviction;

• reproductive freedom; and

• removal of Virginia’s constitutional ban on same-sex marriage and equal treatment of lawful marriages.

WUU will provide the postcards, voter information, registrar-information labels, approved script, and instructions. Writers provide their own postcard stamps.

Each postcard must be handwritten in clear print and hand-addressed. Writers must copy the nonpartisan Reclaim Our Vote script exactly.

This is a write-and-hold campaign. Postcards may be written as soon as materials are available, but they must be mailed during the official window:

September 11–October 13, 2026

Supplies will be available for pickup at WUU on selected Sundays. Everyone who signs up will receive an email when materials are ready and with the available pickup dates.
