August 10 Senior Companions: Happiness

At the next Senior Companions meeting on Monday, August 10, from 10 AM to 12 PM, we will discuss Happiness—new ways to think about it and to find more of it in everyday life. Our guest speaker, Carole Warren Sebenick, is a retired clinical psychologist in Alexandria, VA. And she is also the daughter of Lola Warren and a friend of WUU. Dr. Sebenick has spent the past several years teaching classes on the psychology of happiness to college students at the University of Maryland and lifelong learners at OLLI-American University. Research shows that older adults have advanced capacity to use the wisdom of happiness science, and Dr. Sebenick will encourage us to use that capacity as we learn about creative and practical strategies to manage life's stress and improve well-being.

All are welcome, bring a friend or neighbor, and join us in person or on Zoom!
