Religious Education (RE) programs at WUU are a lifelong journey, offering opportunities for deeper meaningful connection with each other, with the world around us, and the world within us. Sundays at WUU

10:00 - 10:30 am - Main Sanctuary
Kids Corner with quiet activities available in front left of the Main Sanctuary. Kids are dismissed before sermon time with a song.

10:30 - 11:30 am - RE Wing

Toddlers through Grade 5
Ages ~1 to ~11

Some classes may be divided by interests instead of ages/grades. Contact the DRE with any concerns or questions.

After service, parents /caregivers are invited to stay in the Gathering Hall and we’ll bring the kids out when RE ends.

WUU also has a commitment to multigenerational services where the entire community stays together in the Main Sanctuary. These services are designed to engage all ages and are usually once a month, on holidays or other special occasions. A calendar is updated on our website and weekly through our email newsletter, The Spiral. Past events include Lunar New Year, Pride Month, Yule Sing, Spring Celebration, May Pole, Harvest Festival, and more!

Year-Round Learning

Through RE programs, we encourage students to learn and explore through stories, hands-on activities, and crafts. Curriculum-based learning considers themes of UU values, global religions, cultural traditions, and social justice issues to discuss ways we can live out the Seven Principles of UUism.

Gatherings for students age 12-18 (grades 6-12) offer our teens time to explore traditions and ideas, while learning more about their own spiritual journeys. WUU also creates a space to relax and enjoy the quiet or have conversation with others during our Sunday services and other events.

Whole families can learn together through RE programs on Sundays, as well as Soul Matters, Faith Development classes, multicultural initiatives, and other fun-filled holidays and special events throughout the year. WUU strives to offer ways for the whole family to explore together, to pass on family traditions, and to create new ones.
