Concert for Peace
Last Saturday, May 9, WUU was treated to an amazing display of talent from our own family and friends. For two hours, we heard songs and poems that shared the justice and peace that we as Unitarian Universalists are trying to work towards for all. It was a brief moment of happiness and solidarity in this crazy uncertain world. As we listened to the words and music, we renewed our strength and left at the end of the evening with energized vigor and hope. A huge shout out to Robin, David H, and Kate for putting the event together, to John T and Henry B in the AV booth, to Mary Susan, Mary P, and Beth H, for their help in putting together the lovely treats and the plentiful beverages that awaited everyone, to the amazing performers and artists who entertained us. And lastly, to all of you who attended. Your generosity was overwhelming—we raised over $500 for Social Justice initiatives! The Social Justice team thanks you all so much.
