Social Justice News April 2026

Happy Springtime everyone! Hopefully this beautiful weather that is now upon us will stay a while. It was certainly a beautiful day last Saturday around the country as so many of us took to the streets for No Kings III. Here are some of the WUUers out at the WJCC Courthouse.

And don’t forget... join the Williamsburg JCC Indivisibles most Fridays at noon at the courthouse.

MORAL MONDAY ON DUKE OF GLOUCESTER STREET [MMODS]
John Whitley: peacenow1@verizon.net
We gather near the bench close to Illy Cafe in Merchants Square around 11:35 a.m. to meet and greet. From 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., we demonstrate freely and intentionally for Justice and democracy on D.O.G. Street at the intersection with College Corner. MMODS is Values-driven, Democracy-focused, Justice-committed. Signs are available. Your signs are welcomed.

One very important event this month is the upcoming elections. Here’s a gentle reminder to make sure you and all who are important to you will get out and vote!

“You’ve got to vote, vote, vote, vote. That’s it; that’s the  way we move forward.”
— Michelle Obama, attorney, author, and First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017

“It's not enough to just want change ... You have to go and make change by voting."
— Taylor Swift, singer-songwriter and country-pop star
