Social Justice News

We have been very busy this month with our community engagements. From advocacy events created by Virginia Organizing to demonstrations against political forces, we have stood up and spoken out for Justice. Plus, each of us has been working with other groups to ensure the vision and power of democracy are communicated widely and have a lasting impact. It’s our UU way.

The Winter Shelter is an integral part of our mission and encompasses our values. Members address the unique needs of participants by directly participating in the shelter's services. We celebrate being an integral partner in this venture for more than 15 years.

Members have been generous in providing support for FISH and its good work responding to the needs of our neighbors in these uncertain times.

We will dedicate our crosswalk to commemorate LGBT+ on November 16 and to memorialize Transgender Day of Remembrance (November 20).
