Write Postcards to Virginia Voters

About 2,000 postcards are waiting for writers this August.
Help reach Black voters and other voters of color across Virginia by writing nonpartisan postcards for the November 3, 2026, General Election.

WANT TO PLAN AHEAD? Sign up now to write 30 or more postcards:
https://forms.gle/j3QQ4dnbgRHi9VtP7

OR JUST STOP BY! No advance signup is required. Come to the postcard table in the WUU lobby on any Sunday in August, 9:00 a.m.–noon, and take home postcards to write.

WUU provides everything you need except stamps: the Reclaim Our Vote postcards, voter names and addresses, registrar-information labels, approved script, and instructions. You provide your time, handwriting, and postcard stamps.

Virginia voters will be deciding federal and local races as well as three proposed constitutional amendments concerning:

  • an affirmative constitutional right to vote and restoration of voting rights after release from incarceration following a felony conviction;

  • reproductive freedom; and

  • removal of Virginia’s constitutional ban on same-sex marriage and equal treatment of lawful marriages.

Each postcard is handwritten and hand-addressed using the approved nonpartisan Reclaim Our Vote script.

This is a write-and-hold campaign. You can write your postcards now, then mail them during the official mailing window:

September 11–October 13, 2026

A few hours of your time—and the cost of stamps—can help provide Virginia voters with timely election information and a personal reminder that their participation matters.
