Summer Meals for Kids will be starting June 12. WUU and St. Martin’s volunteers will be making lunches on Fridays (and 2 Wednesdays) during the summer for about 300 children who live in motels and low-income housing neighborhoods who receive free lunches during the school year.

Eight volunteers are needed to make and pack the lunches and eight volunteers to bake 5 dozen cookies every Friday. Lunches are packed at the WISC and delivered to the children every day when school is out for the summer. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide a service that is appreciated by families who receive the lunches. Children eight and older are welcome to volunteer along with their adult.
