News from the DRE
March is filling up fast and Spring is just around the corner. Can you feel it? We can! Religious Education has had a burst of new energy and fun while we look forward to all March has to offer us at WUU!
Here is the calendar for what's happening for all our WUU kids and families.
One fun announcement is Robin Jester Wootton is taking on the 45-Mile Outdoor Challenge for the month of March. This is a fundraiser for the Trevor Project, a nationwide nonprofit, founded in 1998. Focused on suicide prevention efforts for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth, they offer a toll-free telephone number where confidential assistance is provided by trained counselors. Their mission is to END SUICIDE among LGBTQ+ young people. All proceeds will go directly to this org, which provides private trained confidential counseling 24/7.
Every day in March, I will be walking 1-2 miles to help raise awareness and funds to keep this important lifeline open! If you'd like to donate, please visit this link: https://www.facebook.com/donate/1286146713371150/
And if you'd like to go for a walk with me, let me know!! Would love the company! All ages welcome!
