FISH Needs Our Support More Than Ever
FISH is in desperate need of our continued support. As you know, many government workers have been displaced, laid-off, and some are now victims of the current partial government shutdown. In addition, ICE is now in our area and many of our lifelong neighbors are in fear of leaving their homes. Now is the time for us all to STEP UP and remember to bring dry goods and canned items EVERY Sunday. We need more than 2-3 bags of groceries brought in a week and placed in or around the red wagon in the hallway. People are hurting and we can help by doing a little extra shopping every week. Just think, if just 10 families a week remembered to do that, we could be donating three times as much as we are now. Here is a link to those items they need most: https://fishwilliamsburg.org/what-does-fish-need-now/
I ask that if you have clothing, or any other household items, that you deliver these yourself to their current location at 312 Second Street as my small vehicle can only hold so much. In addition, please do not donate old toys, or wooden blocks, as they do not take these items for sanitary reasons. Please everyone, we need to help those who are not as fortunate as ourselves on a routine basis. To those who have given so generously, thank you.
