“COMING INTO OUR OWN”

ORDER OF WORSHIP | OCTOBER 5, 2025 | 10:00 AM HYBRID SERVICE

We are committed to being an antiracist, anti-oppressive congregation. We celebrate people of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, genders, and sexual orientations. We honor our spiritual connection to the earth and all living things.

Before the service: You may place a stone in water for the joys and sorrows in your heart. Please respect those seeking silence.

Lighting the Chalice
by Li Kynvi
Mimi Rodgers

This chalice is for the living, the changing, the becoming.
This chalice is for losing the script of your life,
the chapters about who you are
in other people’s stories.
This chalice is for the lost GPS
that was supposed to show you how to get
where they expected you to go.
This chalice is for skipping the directions,
coloring outside the lines,
painting—not by number—but by silence,
by wild abandon,
with a brush you made yourself
from light deep inside.

Welcoming Words
Mimi Rodgers

Come, come, whoever you are,
Whomever you love,
Whatever your image of the Holy,
Your presence here is a gift.
All are worthy, all are welcome.
