About the Youth Advisor: Hi, my name is Kendall Plageman and I am so pleased to be a part of the UU community as the YRUU youth advisor for Williamsburg Unitarian Universalist Church. I have an enthusiasm for working with adolescents and am looking forward to empowering the youth of the congregation. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William & Mary in 2002. Since then, I have spent my time working for social service agencies, such as Avalon: A Center for Women and Children and the Victim-Witness Assistance Program in Richmond. After spending a year in Colorado, I returned to Williamsburg to further my education. I am now in my second year of graduate school pursuing a master’s degree in Community and Addictions Counseling at W&M. I am also a graduate assistant for the Learning Resource Center in the School of Education and a clinical intern at Williamsburg Place and The Farley Center. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, reading good non-fiction, yoga, and boating on the Chesapeake Bay.
